Juliana Tricta is currently completing a Master's in Medical Sciences - Physiology and Pharmacology, under Dr. Adachi's supervision. She has an interested in the health and research field, with a special interest in learning how the human body works, how it responds to changes, how its organs function, relate and interact with each other. For her Master's project she is studying the relation between clinical characteristics and MRI findings in the hands of rheumatoid arthritis patients.

She completed her B.Sc. in Honours Sciences at McMaster, with a minor in Italian, in 2007. During part of her undergraduate studies she worked as a Research Lab Assistant at McMaster University, under Dr. Roger Jacobs, Ph.D., Professor of the Department of Biology, and she was also a Teaching Assistant in the Italian Department. She has also gained experience in data managing by being a Clinical Data Manager for a thalassaemia study at the Regina Margherita Hospital, University of Turin, Italy from May to August 2004 and again from August to December 2005. During her second stay in Turin, she completed her  Senior Research Project on "The Importance Of Compliance With Iron Chelation Therapy For The Survival And Complication Free Survival Of Thalassaemia Major Patients", under the supervision of Dr. Denis Crankshaw, McMaster University with cooperation of Dr. Antonio Piga, Regina Margherita Hospital in Turin, Italy.
